In this interactive workshop, participants will learn about the fundamentals of fact-checking by analysing a variety of misinformation and online falsehoods, ranging from dubious messages to viral social media posts. By applying the S.U.R.E. principles and utilizing fact-checking platforms, participants will gain knowledge and confidence in determining the credibility of online information.

About the Speaker
Mervin is a versatile trainer and facilitator with over six years of training experience in the National Library’s Outreach team. He has conducted numerous talks and workshops on information literacy, library databases and combating fake news to diverse audiences, and have trained over 40,000 individuals.
