Academic Research Skills Workshop

Programme Introduction: In this workshop, students will learn how to make their online research more effective and efficient through a combination of search strategies and digital resources from the National Library Board (NLB).

Programme Details: This workshop is conducted digitally. Teachers are recommended to prepare a laptop or smartphone as they will participate in interactive activities conducted via the Kahoot! platform. The contents of the workshop includes:

• The problem of information overload
• Identifying credible and factual sources
• Search engine strategies and tips
• Recommended NLB resources

Target Audience: Secondary & JC students

Programme Runtime: All year round

Due Date for Registration: Register 1 month in advance (preferred)

Duration of Session: 1 hour

Programme Fee: Free-of-charge

Programme Capacity: Minimum of 40 pax
